Noteworthy Mention of the South Platte Neighborhood

South Platte neighborhood is a tiny cluster of homes located directly south of the Overland Golf Course; another group of homes lies three blocks west of the links. Despite its relatively large boundary lines of Jewell, Raritan/Pecos, Dartmouth and the South Platte River, the neighborhood is solely on the north end as the rest of the South Platte neighborhood is comprised of industrial parks, warehouses and office complexes.

These residences are quite affordable and offer great access to the Santa Fe and the RTD light rail station on Evans.

On the south end of South Platte River neighborhood, people can pick up the West Harvard Gulch trail (off the South Platte River) and venture west for another mile to enjoy additional scenery. The Overland Golf Course is a favorite among golfers for its flat, easy to walk fairways and predictable greens, and the on-site Overland Park Tavern is a favorite watering hole after a round of golf. Due to the industrial nature of the neighborhood to the south, residents gravitate east to the Evans corridor.
