Snuggled just west of Englewood and Lowell Boulevard, where Belleview starts to meander slightly to the north, you will find one of the most private and secluded areas of the Denver metro area. Bow Mar neighborhood enjoys its status as a quiet and country-like setting along the shores of Marston and Bowles Lakes.

Bow Mar neighborhood is found within the boundaries of Quincy, Sheridan, Union, Bow Mar Drive, north of Upper Tule Lake and Marston Lake. Approximately 900 people live in this small enclave that is just one mile square. Despite its small size, it attained town status in 1958 and was incorporated. As a result, it has a full slate of elected and appointed officials, ranging from mayor to building inspector

There are roughly 300 single-family homes in the Bow Mar neighborhood. All homes sit on at least one acre and many enjoy views of the three lakes in the community: Marston Lake, Bowles Lake, and Upper Tule Lake. Most of the original homes of Bow Mar were built in the late 1940s and 1950s. Subsequently, a fair number of those dated homes have either been renovated or scraped and replaced with newer-style houses.

Residents enjoy expansive open space, beautiful mountain vistas, and access to a public beach. In addition to recreational pursuits, the Bow Mar neighborhood offers concerts and other neighborhood events. There are three small parks in the town, Pinehurst, Bow Mar Heights, and James A. Taylor, that provide respite and relaxation for all.

There are no commercial businesses in Bow Mar but its inhabitants take advantage of the town’s close proximity to Englewood and the Federal, Belleview, and Santa Fe corridors in addition to quick access to Hampden.
