How Sloan's Lake Got its Name
In the year 1861, an industrious farmer by the name of Thomas Sloan embarked on the ambitious project of constructing a well on his land. However, fate had a different plan in store for him. During the course of his digging, a miscalculation led to an inadvertent flooding of the surrounding area. This unexpected turn of events ultimately gave rise to the picturesque body of water that we now fondly refer to as Sloan’s Lake in Denver.
