Located due west of Denver’s City Park, City Park West has amazing lots with mature landscape and classic early 20th century homes. The neighborhood is experiencing a number of smaller, multi-family infill projects on vacant or underutilized lots which contributes to buzz and excitement. The stretch of East Colfax along City Park West’s southern boundary is also showing signs of life with new development and commercial expansion.

Enjoy breakfast and lunch selections such as yogurt and granola, carrot cake oats, a variety of sandwiches and much more. No matter your food and beverage preference, the staff at The Weathervane Cafe always goes above and beyond in ensuring that everyone has a great experience.
  • Syrup | Make sure you have plenty of energy for your day so stop by the City Park location to get the day started right! Known as one of the “sweetest spots” in the city, you’ll find all of the makings of a great breakfast, from top-notch service to delicious food. Choose to enjoy the 3 Little Pigs in a Blanket, Waffle Sliders, Coconut Coated French Toast and much more. Now you’re ready to tackle the rest of your day!
  • The City Park Esplanade Fresh Market has been a regular stop in the neighborhood for the past two decades. However, due to the pandemic, the market has been closed this season. Hopefully in 2021, this Sunday market will return with its signature produce, fresh food, organic treats and food vendor fare.
  • City Park Denver is home to many facilities and park amenities. The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, IMAX theater and the Denver Zoo are all found in City Park. If you plan to move to the area, Denver Parks and Recreation offer tennis lessons, kickball leagues, and children’s summer camp. The playgrounds and picnic sites are popular venues for families, and the lake activities on Ferril Lake can’t be beat. Another great site to visit is the City Park Pavilion. This amazing structure was part of a “City Beautiful” campaign in the late 1800s. The pavilion is an exquisite place for photo opportunities with views of the City Park Band Shell, Ferril Lake, Sopris Garden and the Denver skyline. Listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, the City Park Pavilion features Spanish-style architecture complete with arches and unique towers.
  • With tons of history in this amazing neighborhood, you can visit multiple historic sites such as the Smith House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, at 1801 York Street, and the 125-year-old Castle Marne,1572 Race St., which was designed by the same architect as the nearby Molly Brown House Museum.
