Chop Shop lives by their creed of treading lightly on the planet. Bamboo plates and reclaimed wood and glass are used wherever possible; even the beer kegs are reloadable! This is an environmentally savvy shop around.

Chefs/co-owners Amy Vitale and Dustin Barrett have created a cozy, off-beat hideaway in their offering, Tables, not unlike Berkeley’s Chez Panisse in its glory days. Seasonally inspired menus are ever-changing, tempting the palate with the creator’s unique vision amid mismatched tables and vintage ephemera. The crispy duck breast entree with its elegant sides will set you back $26.

Neighbors Park Hill | 2202 Kearney

Recently expanded, Neighbors Park Hill is a popular area gathering spot to sip, nibble and relax with friends. An extensive wine list, as well as a healthy beer menu of both foreign and domestic offerings, are sure to please. Asian blue lump crab dip or the tangy corned beef Rueben is about $15, and entrees tend to vary weekly.

While not extensive by some standards, the menu is purposefully concise to allow the chefs to focus on perfecting the items which are offered. A dinner portion of their classic Pad Thai is a healthy $9.99.

A favorite Park Hill Denver neighborhood pub, The Abbey Tavern focuses on the warmth and hospitality found within an Irish barroom instead of in-your-face shamrocks on the walls.
