Are you moving or renovating your home and want to donate some unwanted items to a great cause? Check out Habitat Restore! As an extension of Habitat for Humanity, this organization accepts donations and offers an ever-changing inventory of diverse, high-quality merchandise to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Furthermore, their efforts help divert reusable household items and building materials from living in landfills.
Habitat ReStore accepts the following items:
- Appliances – Cooktops, Stoves, Ovens, Dishwashers, Dryers, Microwaves, Refrigerators, Washers
- Must be in full working order, clean, and less than 15 years old
- Furniture – Sofas, Futons, Recliners, Dressers, Hutches, Armoires, Tables, Chairs
- In good, resalable condition (no rips, stains, pet hair, or floral patterns)
- Cabinets – Kitchen Cabinet Sets, Bathroom Cabinets, Vanities
- Must be complete with all doors and drawers attached, no nails or screws sticking out; no cabinet parts (e.g. doors, drawers, etc.)
If painted: must be factory-quality paint/primed

- Dishes – They accept sets of dishes, ideally packaged to prevent damage.
- Building Materials – Brick, Stone, Lumber
- Framed Mirrors
- Windows & Doors – Of All Shapes & Sizes
- Plumbing Fixtures – Tubs, Toilets, Sinks
- Bathroom Accessories – Faucets, Towel Holders, Dispensers
- Tools & Hardware – Hand tools, power tools, bench tools
- Must be complete, in good condition and in full working order
- Please verify with stores directly for any especially large tools
- Landscaping – Brick, Stone, cinderblock, lawn-care tools, slate, cultured stone, fencing
- Lighting – Floor Lamps, Chandeliers, Bulbs, Table Lamps
- Lumber and Trim – Minimum of 6’ long with no nails or paint
- HVAC – AC, Furnaces, Hot Water Heaters, Swamp Coolers, Fans
- Furnaces, ACs, and hot water heaters must be in good working order and less than 10 years old.
