Rhein Haus
Located in LoDo, Rhein Haus is a Bavarian-inspired eatery and bar that has been in business since 2015. With an open layout and two floors, this spacious locale features exposed beams and rich wooden floors. To add to its cozy atmosphere, Rhein Haus also has a large fireplace between the bar and restaurant that was brought over from a castle in Germany. This hand-carved fireplace serves as the centerpiece to the first floor and welcomes guests to enjoy a leisurely drink or meal from their extensive beer and food menu. A Philippine mahogany fireplace from Brussels, is positioned on the second floor, near the bocce ball courts.
Bull & Bush Brewery
Location in Glendale, Bull & Bush has been around since 1971. Boasting an English pub ambiance, this tavern offers the best of both worlds: drinks and delicious food. You’ll be transported to England while enjoying a brew in front of the iconic fireplace. The chocolate leather sofas and British accents provide just the perfect escape on a December evening. Their menu features “Bull’s Pride” prime rib, prime rib French dip sandwich, and of course, their legendary fish and chips (all you can eat on Fridays after 5 p.m.).
FIRE Terrace
Making its home in the heart of the Golden Triangle neighborhood, FIRE Terrace befits its namesake. Located in The Art Hotel, FIRE Terrace takes advantage of its fourth-floor location to not only provide sweeping city views but features an outdoor area with an industrial-sized fire pit to be enjoyed by all. This open-air bar is the ideal spot to cozy up with one of the hotel’s wool blankets and sip one of their specialty cocktails or nibble on one of their small plate offerings that include crab cakes, burgers and desserts.
Ironton Distillery
Nestled into the RiNo area, Ironton Distillery is the epitome of a charming neighborhood bar. The large awesome outdoor space creates a serene and homey atmosphere while exuding a classic Colorado vibe. Festooned with Christmas decorations and twinkling lights, you’ll love hanging outside by the multiple fire pits. Don’t miss out on the limited-edition Mountain Manhattan and Old Fashioned cocktail kits, perfect for that special someone. And be sure to check out the special event calendar which includes the Yuletide Spirits on Dec. 4th, and live music, and a pairing dinner to get you in the holiday spirit.
Joyride Brewery
The rooftop at Joyride offers tremendous views of Sloan’s Lake and the lights of Denver, and some of the best craft beers in the Denver metro area. A tabletop fire pit and overhead heaters keep you toasty warm. Enjoy yummy food from the food truck along with 14 taps of their amazing beer. Joyride also has some great events coming up, including the popular 21st Amendment Day Bar Crawl.
Forest Room 5
Eclectic and artsy, Forest Room 5 makes guests feel like they’ve been transported to a mountain hideaway, all within the city limits. Located in the Highland neighborhood, Forest Room 5’s outdoor space is all about nature with meticulous landscaping and even a babbling brook. Fire pits are scattered around the patio, making guests feel like they should be enjoying s’mores and campfire songs. The casual vibe, however, is not to be mistaken for simplicity when it comes to the menus. The drinks list is full of inventive cocktails such as the Here Today, Gin Tomorrow, and White Buffalo Manhattan while fireside eats include truffle fries, fry bread, and elk sliders.
Cherry Cricket
The Cherry Room at the Cherry Cricket Ballpark location offers the perfect surroundings to relax in comfortable lounge seating or engage in friendly competition playing board games in front of the roaring fireplace. You’ll also love the front-row seat to the infamous fish tank and its amusing underwater decor. This room can also be reserved for special events and can accommodate 35 people reception style. The Cherry Cricket is renowned for the Cricket Burger and award-winning R & C Green Chile, perfect for warming up on a cold winter night!
