As a Colorado native, what do you love about your home state?
I’m a Colorado native—I grew up in Denver, and I’ve been here my whole life. When people ask me what it’s like to be a Coloradan, I tell them that it’s like living in a giant playground. You never know what you’re going to get: some days you could wake up and see snow falling; other days, it’ll be bright blue skies and sunshine all day long. The weather can change quickly but the 300-plus days of sunshine make living here truly amazing.
What do you enjoy most about living in Denver?
It’s the best city in the world because it’s a great place to be outdoors. I love that I can be hiking in the mountains within minutes of leaving my house, and I love that when I’m done hiking, there are so many places to grab a good bite to eat or something to drink! The city has an amazing music scene, and taking in a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre can’t be beaten.
Have you had other careers before becoming a real estate broker?
My past is in tech sales and content marketing.
What got you interested in real estate?
Real estate has always been fascinating for me because it is such an important part of our society—we all need somewhere to live! When I was younger, I’d drive through neighborhoods and just look at homes. My favorite thing about being an agent is helping people find their dream homes or helping them sell their current homes so they can move on to their next chapter in life (and hopefully find another dream home).
What can a home buyer or seller expect when they work with you?
As a realtor, I take great joy in supporting individuals and families on their journey to find the perfect home! It’s such an honor for me to be part of this important milestone. I love working with home sellers to find ways to market homes so that they sell quickly and for more money than you might think possible.
When working with me, you can expect me to treat your property as if it were my own! I want you to get the most out of your property and do so in a timely manner. When you choose me to list your home, I will showcase your property in the best light with beautiful photos and videos that will make a lasting impression.
Complete this sentence. If you really, really knew me, you would know that…?
I am passionate about quality art. I enjoy the finer things in life—and I’m not afraid to say it. Also, my dog Finny is my best friend and we love to explore the mountains together. I’ve spent a great deal of time traveling across the world indulging in cultures and perspectives that have changed the way I see the world. And most importantly, I’m Irish – that’s where my family is from.
Give us a snapshot of an ordinary moment in your life that brings you great joy.
Waking up at 6 a.m. every morning and going to the gym is something that is so simple and important to me. If I don’t do it, I feel off my game all day. It brings me great joy and motivation to reach my goals when I start my morning off right. I believe that starting your day off with a good workout is one of the best things you can do for yourself. You get a little bit of exercise in, which helps boost your metabolism and gives you some energy throughout the day. Plus, if you think about it, exercising in the morning will help set the tone for how productive your day will be!
If you could have dinner with three people, living or deceased, who would they be?
Elon Musk, George Harrison, and Socrates.
I’d like to have dinner with Elon Musk because he’s a person who I think has a lot of integrity and is doing something that is really important for the world.
Spending time with George Harrison would be a thrill since he was such an incredible musician and human being, and I feel like we’d have a lot in common. For example, we both love the Beatles!
Finally, having dinner with Socrates would include interesting conversations about life, death, and everything in between.
What is one new skill or hobby you are learning or have learned recently?
Boating! I recently purchased a boat and am learning to love taking it out for relaxing days on the lake or with all my friends for wakeboarding.
What book(s) (or podcasts) have you read recently that you’d recommend?
“How to Win Friends and Influence People,” by Dale Carnegie
What is your favorite Denver area neighborhood and why?
I love the area surrounding RiNo. There are tons of great places to grab a bite to eat or listen to some nice music. It’s a great community of young professionals, and the best part about living in RiNo is being able to walk everywhere. There is no need for a car and with the RTD bus line right outside your door, you can get anywhere in Denver! The community is very tight-knit and friendly. Everyone knows each other and is willing to help out whenever they can. If you’re looking for a place that’s close to downtown but still has its own identity, then RiNo is the place for you!
