Usaj Realty is thrilled to welcome Haley Dyer to its Vail Valley office. Haley brings a unique blend of experience in multiple luxury industries and brand marketing to augment her real estate knowledge.

Haley grew up in northern California and has always loved the mountains. She worked on the development of the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at the base of Beaver Creek and successfully closed on transactions at the peak of the recession. Her experience includes a stint in California where she worked with some of the top wineries of the world and became a certified sommelier and private jet management.

Haley returned to the Vail Valley, realizing she missed the Rocky Mountain lifestyle and resumed her career in wine brokerage and real estate. Specializing in private residence clubs, she believes fractional ownerships are an excellent way to have the freedom and luxury of enjoying your own home while on vacation. These maintenance-free resort ownerships allow you to maximize your time on vacation in such a beautiful location.

Learn more about Haley and how she can help with your real estate needs in the Vail Valley.

Where are you from originally and what brought you to Colorado?

I’m originally from Petaluma, California which is about 45 minutes north of San Francisco. I came to Colorado to attend college and decided to make it home so I could enjoy the mountains full-time!

What do you enjoy most about living in Colorado?

I love spending time outside. Living in the Vail Valley, you can enjoy all the seasons with hiking, biking and skiing. It’s the perfect place for me!

What is your favorite Vail area/neighborhood and why?

Lionshead is just the best. I enjoy all the shops, the easy access to the mountain and being able to get my favorite breakfast sandwich. Although it’s a slower pace than the main village, there always seems to be something going on here.

What can a home buyer or seller expect when they work with you?

I pride myself on being upfront and honest. I’m probably too brutally honest at times! I try to look at properties as if I was the buyer and it was my money. I want to make sure the home buyer is going to be completely satisfied with their purchase.

Complete this sentence. If you really knew me, you would know that…?

I always have a smile on my face, and I truly want the best for everyone I come in contact with to be happy with their real estate transaction. Buying or selling a home is a big deal, and I sincerely want to have satisfied clients.

What was one big thing you learned or took away from last year?

Life is constantly evolving so sit back and enjoy it! To keep moving forward, there must be change. Embrace it, be positive and learn from it!

What is one new skill or hobby you are learning or have learned recently?

Being a new mom! There are many resources out there on parenting, but many times, it’s trial and error. I’m learning something new every day!

Describe your perfect weekend

I always enjoy starting out the weekend with a morning walk with the family to get coffee and a sweet treat. A sunny day is always welcome and we are fortunate to have so many here in Vail. It makes venturing out for a bike ride or hike an easy option. Dinner at a fun restaurant is a simple but satisfying way to end an enjoyable outing.

What book(s) (or podcasts) have you read recently that you’d recommend?

Reading is my weakness! Jay Shetty’s “Think Like A Monk,” is amazing. Check out his YouTube channel, too.

Any hobbies or pursuits that you’d like to share?

I love traveling, skiing and perfecting my skills of cooking with a wok.

What are some of the challenges you have faced and how did you overcome them?

Being a working mother, I’m challenged with balancing work while having a new baby. The hours fly by and tasks pile up but I have learned to celebrate the small victories. You quickly learn what’s important and what can wait.
