Latest Companies Moving to Denver

As we continue to recover economically from the COVID-19 pandemic, and face new challenges with inflation and a unrelenting hot residential real estate market, there is one constant in the good news department — Denver continues to be a popular choice for companies looking to relocate and expand.

According to the latest CBRE Scoring Tech Talent 2021 report, Denver is ranked 9th in the United States in technology talent. Part of the Mile High City’s appeal includes its large pool of tech workers. The area had a 31 percent increase in the number of tech workers in the last five years. It also ranks third as the most concentrated market for millennials (32 percent) which according to CBRE brings, “youth, new jobs, and energy to the city.” Finally, Denver is noted for its live-work-play atmosphere with a myriad of outdoor activities available to young workers.

The city is home to over 650,000 people and the metropolitan area’s population boasts 2.9 million. Local higher education institutions Regis University, the University of Denver, University of Colorado-Denver, Metro State University, and the Colorado School of Mines churn out an educated workforce, along with the nearby University of Colorado-Boulder and Colorado State University. Moreover, a significant number of job positions in the city are now occupied by newcomers and individuals from outside the city.

Denver International Airport (DIA)

Denver International Airport is now the third busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic, and approximately 35,000 people work in many different industries and professions connected to the airport. Having access to a large, international airport is often a critical piece in determining where a company establishes a presence.

Furthermore, the State of Colorado offers tax incentives to attract large employers, and Denver is a great place to live thanks to its plentiful sunshine, invigorating outdoor activities, strong neighborhood character, and a myriad of independent businesses, including oodles of coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries.
