What do you enjoy most about living in Denver?
There are a ton of things I love about Denver, that’s why I haven’t lived anywhere else. I would say my favorite aspects of the city would be the friendly people, the accessibility to nature, and the music scene.
What Denver neighborhood did you grow up in and what did you/do you like about it?
I grew up in Harvey Park. What I loved most about where I grew up is that I lived around a lake, Wolcott Lake. It was like our little oasis in the city. We would go swimming, sailing, fishing, paddle boarding, all right in our backyard. It doesn’t get much better than that!
List some pearls of wisdom for people looking to buy a home in this market.
Don’t get discouraged! As we approach the fall months, the typical days on market for both DSF and ASF have increased. This means buyers who were being beaten out in the crazy spring and summer months have more time to get their foot in the door and pick a house that is right for them.
In times of stress or uncertainty, how do you help your clients?
I make sure to pick up the phone to call my clients before they need to. Anticipating clients’ needs and wants is what truly separates a good agent from a great agent.
What is one new skill or hobby you are learning or have learned recently?
I just recently ran my first, and definitely not my last, half marathon. My father was and still is a super athlete. He has competed in many triathlons, one ironman, and swam the English Channel. So I have definitely looked up to him and what he’s accomplished. It felt good to hold myself accountable with early morning training sessions and setting attainable goals. Who knows, maybe next time, I’ll run a full marathon!
What was one big thing you learned or took away from the last 12 months?
Last year made me appreciate the relationships I have built and steer me away from the material possessions that we all strive for. It made me realize to not take the little things for granted because they are actually what matters most in life.
