Setting steel I-beams, floor joists and sub-flooring at two Habitat for Humanity building sites kept Usaj Realty volunteer crew members busy recently. On a picture-perfect October day, nine members of the Usaj Realty team joined several “core volunteers” from Habitat to help set the critical foundation sections of two new homes on South Decatur Street in Denver. Once completed, the ranch homes will house a deserving family in need of affordable permanent housing.
“Usaj Realty is proud to have completed the 7th annual Habitat build day,” said Jenny Usaj, co-owner of Usaj Realty. “Habitat for Humanity is a great program, and we are excited to continue our commitment for many years to come. Building on-site is one of my favorite days of the year because I know that we will all be challenged as a team and individuals in a new way. This year we successfully placed I-beams in the foundation and built out the subfloors!”
Usaj Realty is one of Habitat for Humanity’s Adopt-a-Day Sponsors, and the boutique real estate firm organizes several fundraisers and community outreach events for the organization each year.
