Ice Castles | Feb. 1-28 | Dillon

Visit these beautiful ice castles, all built by hand, using only water and icicles. The photos speak for themselves. Tickets range in price depending on the day you visit. Check the website for pricing and dates of operation. Closed Tuesdays, advance reservations required.

Steamboat Winter Carnival | Feb. 3-7 | Steamboat Springs

Although the there will be some changes due to COVID-19, the Steamboat Winter Carnival is still on for 2021. “Happy Outside” is a perfect theme for this year’s event as many people have turned to the outdoors during the pandemic. The Happy Bake Shop is offering some awesome Valentine’s treats for all your celebratory needs! This locally/women-owned sweets shop is offering macaroons, sugar cookies, and more for Valentines. Guided Snowshoe Tour | Thursdays-Saturdays in February | Vail

Enjoy a free guided snowshoe tour with a naturalist on Vail Mountain at the Nature Discovery Center. Snowshoes are provided. Tours depart from outside the Nature Discovery Center atop the Eagle Bahn Gondola on Vail Mountain. Reservations are required as is a ski pass or scenic mountain gondola ticket.

Pottery Painting | Feb. 5 | Denver

Head on over to Grandma’s House Brewery for a Schitt’s Creek evening! A few randomly chosen episodes will be shown while you paint Schitt’s Creek themed pottery.There will be a variety of pottery pieces to choose from and plenty of stencils to use on your masterpiece. When finished, the pottery will be taken to our studio to be fired. It will then be delivered back to Grandma’s House in one week for customer pick up. Please claim your fired pottery within 30 days of delivery.

The cost is $30 and covers the pottery, paint, supplies, firing and delivery.

Super Bowl 5K | Feb. 7 | Denver

You’ve spent months preparing for this event; now it’s time to hit the line and test your speed at Denver’s largest Super Bowl Run. Come out for the Super Bowl 5K Run & Walk and Kids Fun Run. Don’t forget to dress in your craziest football fan gear! There will be 8 different waves to meet COVID mitigation standards.

Live Comedy and Concert | Feb. 12-14 | Greenwood Village

Get out of the house and enjoy live (yes live!) comedy and music! Live at the Lake House is presented by Live At Jacks Inc. & Hold Please Productions. Tickets are non-refundable. ID and masks required on entry. All seating and live acts will be socially distanced, and the Cherry Creek State Park requires a minimal entrance fee.  Open Bar & Snacks will be available.

Cupid’s Undie Run (Virtual) | Feb. 13 | Denver

This February, Cupid’s Undie Run is going virtual, but don’t worry, there will still be running, laughing, raising money for neurofibromatosis (NF) research, and (duh) drinking! This year, you have creative control. Want to bike a mile? Sure. Prefer to run backward? We’re not here to say no. Eat a mile-long sandwich? Anything goes! After you finish your #MileThatMatters, you’re invited to the Cupid’s party you’ve come to know and expect (just from the safety of your home). Join us at 2 p.m. (MST) for dancing, live entertainment, drinks, drinking games and drink tutorials.

Banff Mountain Film Festival | Feb. 26 | Breckenridge

The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour features a collection of the most inspiring and thought-provoking action, environmental and adventure mountain films. Traveling from remote landscapes and cultures to up close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world.

All proceeds from the event go to support BOEC’s programs for adaptive recreation and outdoor education.
