Fall Events in Vail

As we transition between seasons, Vail continues to showcase popular events and activities while people enjoy the colors and brisk temperatures of fall.

Some trees and high mountain grasses have already begun to show signs of autumn. Both cooler mornings and evenings signal a change in the air as we prepare for the annual display of colors from aspens, ash, maples and other deciduous trees.

The Vail Valley not only offers amazing leaf peeping but is full of music, epicurean delights, entertainment and performances throughout September, and into October and November. Combine a weekend of outdoor recreation with some of these fabulous fall events in Vail:

September 1-5, Vail Jazz Party

Lionshead and Vail Villages

September 4-October 9 (Sundays), Farmer’s Market and Art Show, Vail Village

9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Meadow Drive

The Vail Farmers Market is entering 21 years in Vail on Meadow Drive. There are over 148 tents and all the vendors are handpicked with our guests in mind. We work to have the majority of our vendors provide Colorado artisan items and food. Enjoy strolling down East Meadow Drive in Vail while tasting treats from Colorado.

September 9-11, Oktoberfest, Lionshead Village

September 16-18, Oktoberfest, Vail Village

Complemented by the European flair and the gorgeous mountain backdrops, Vail Oktoberfest™ returns for two full weekends of Bavarian fun. Festival guests will enjoy classic Bavarian fare, including brats, schnitzel sandwiches, spaetzle, pretzels and more. One of the most popular gatherings of the year, you’ll love the oompah bands, bratwurst eating contests, the colorful costumes and of course, authentic Bavarian beer.
