Denver Real Estate Market Report Update for March 2017

March saw large increases in active and new listings when compared to February 2017, as well as many more homes going under contract and getting sold:

  • March had 4,921 active listings, up 26.9% from last month
  • 4,347 homes sold, up 36% from last month
  • 6,810 new homes went on the market, up from 4,569 from last month and the highest number since July 2016
  • 5,194 homes went under contract, compared to 4,350 last month

This increase in inventory will help buyers who have been strapped for options. Sales volume reached $1.85 billion last month, up 44.42 percent from February. And as for prices, they continue to climb.

  • The median sales price of a detached single family home was $406,000
  • The median sales price of a condo was $260,000
