Usaj Realty is once again proud to partner with the Denver Rescue Mission for their annual Turkey Drive to collect turkeys and cash donations for people in need to have a special Thanksgiving dinner, complete with all the trimmings.
This year’s goal is to collect 15,000 turkeys in order to provide thousands of meals and food boxes to families and individuals who otherwise wouldn’t be able to enjoy Thanksgiving. With rising inflation, the need this year is greater than ever.
You can also make a cash donation towards the cause. A typical 12 pound turkey costs around $20, and a complete meal with stuffing, vegetables, and dessert for a family of four will run around $40. Denver Rescue Mission will be providing Thanksgiving dinner at their facilities and will partner with 100+ agencies including churches, schools and non-profit organizations to bring Thanksgiving into the homes of people who would otherwise not have a holiday meal.
Frozen turkeys, as well as the trimmings, may be dropped off at the Lawrence Street Shelter, 1130 Park Ave., in Denver, November 18-23, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. from November 17th to November 23rd.
