The Southwest quadrant of Denver is made up of 18 neighborhoods which include a number of working-class enclaves and many of the city's oldest neighborhoods. Many of the southwest neighborhoods are going through a renaissance due to significant new developments and people remodeling and upgrading older homes. People are moving to these neighborhoods at a substantial rate due to the affordability of the homes here. The area provides easy access to the RTD light rail stations along Santa Fe (C and D lines) and north of 6th Avenue (W line) as well as the major thoroughfares of Federal, Alameda and I-25.
