Guests of this popular holiday tradition will experience a light safari with 60 brilliantly-illuminated acres of lights, featuring more than 150 animated animal sculptures that swing through trees, jump across lawns, hide in bushes and appear in places where they’re least expected. Trail of Lights at Chatfield Farms takes you along a winding path glistening with lights that illuminate the Colorado countryside.

Spread throughout Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms, Trail of Lights offers visitors a choice of paths; a shorter route takes visitors directly through the children’s play area, while an extended path allows visitors to explore the outside area of the Green Farm Barn and silo before continuing through the children’s area and 1880s homestead.

Fun features this year:

  • Synchronized music in children’s play area
  • Three-sided light tunnel
  • Illuminated antique and model tractors on display

Begin Again | Now through Jan. 9 | Denver

The turn of a new decade brought with it an intersectional crossroads unable to be ignored. We are on the cusp of change; how can we do better? As society shifts, as does the art world.  The six artists featured in Begin Again are inspired by healing, hope and wonder, aesthetically working within the realm of ripples and repetition to convey their messages in an array of mediums. The Upon Closer Reflection exhibit starts Jan. 15 and continues through March 6.

Golden Holiday Light Display | Now through Feb. 15 | Golden

Golden’s impressive holiday lights transform the charming town into a winter wonderland with the downtown, the Clear Creek Walking Path, Golden History Park, Parfet Park and the Visitors Center spectacularly illuminated with an estimated 45,000 bulbs.

A single giant evergreen tree in front of the Golden Visitors Center is wrapped in approximately 5,000 lights all on its own. Start a new family tradition and bundle up, pick up hot cocoa at a Golden coffee shop, and enjoy an evening walk with holiday lights reflecting in the icy waters of Clear Creek and in the downtown shop windows.
