Where to Ice Skate in Denver

Just like that, it’s a new year! 2023 flew by and we are excited to skate through the new year! With the freezing temperatures and cold air, you may be tempted to hit the ice on your neighborhood pond, but some activities are better left in the rinks. There are a handful of rinks to ice skate around Denver and we are here to tell you about them.

Whether you live in the city or the suburbs, there is a spot for you. So grab your gloves, text your friends, and continue the holiday spirit into the new year.

Pindustry on Ice

First and foremost, there has been a new addition to Denver ice skate rinks. Greenwood Village’s Pindustry entertainment center has opened a rooftop ice skating rink on their SkyDeck area. Not to mention the theme’s matched menu, with peppermint White Russians and toasted marshmallow martinis. If you take a spill, this will help soften the fall.

Admission: $15 per hour of skating

Skate Rentals: $5

Downtown Denver Rink

Located in the heart of the Central Business District, this is a perfect location to lace up your skates! Plus, free admission! This is a perfect outing for your forced family fun.

Admission: FREE

Skate Rentals: $9 for kids, $11 for adults 

South Suburban Family Sports Ice Arena

Imagine skating in the same rink as one of your idols. Doubling as the Colorado Avalanches’ practice rink, this arena is open to the public! Be sure and check the schedule, you don’t want to distract the Aves from their next win.

Admission: $7.50 for district, $9.50 for non-district

Skate Rentals: $2.50 for district, $3.50 for non-district

Parker Ice Trail at Discovery Park

One of the only ice trails in the country, Parker’s is a must-see! Open seven days a week, this trail curves through the park’s frozen river or canal. Even when the weather is frigid there are three fire pits along the trail to keep warm.

Children 10 and under: $8

Children 11 and older: $10

Skate Rentals: $4
