Best Restaurants | Usaj Realty’s Top Picks for Takeout

The Denver restaurant landscape has been dramatically altered over the last seven weeks once dining-in was halted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. That being said, takeout has blown up in popularity, and for good reason.

The forced closure has disrupted the operation of one of Denver’s heralded economies. For over a decade, the Mile High City has boasted some of the best and most innovative restaurants and eateries. Most people would agree that the selection and variety of restaurants in Denver is on par with much larger cities across the nation.

But, thankfully and not surprisingly, many Denver restaurants have adapted and changed tactics in an effort to continue to serve its residents. Many are now offering a limited menu, takeout and delivery service to provide the same delectable food, albeit without the tableside ambiance. As a result, Denver foodies are still able to enjoy top-notch food options and support restaurants in their greatest time of need.

Usaj Realty encourages everyone to continue their support of our fine Denver eateries. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful restaurants in our community. Not only do these establishments help define Denver, they are often at the forefront when donating meals, facilities and money to charitable organizations. Now, it’s our turn to help them.

Below you will find just a few of our real estate brokers’ favorite restaurants. Whether it’s these listed restaurants or your personal neighborhood favorite, make sure to place an order soon. They’ll love you for it.

This is Kristin Boritzke’s go-to spot! Offering two locations in the LoHi and Baker neighborhoods, this Denver favorite serves up incredible panini and bruschetta, and some amazing appetizers. Although the restaurants began in Arizona, Postino has won over the hearts of Denver’s food afficionados. You’ll love the fresh ingredients and vast wine selection that serves as a perfect accompaniment to a spectacular meal. Curbside service and delivery options available.

Rio Grande

April Andrews put this staple in the ring. Colloquially known as the “Rio,” this venerable establishment has its roots in Tex-Mex cuisine. If you’re a fan of black beans, fajitas and have been in search of a perfect plate of nachos, this is the place for you. For over 30 years, the Rio has had a loyal following, partly due to authentic food, partly due to their delectable margaritas. And you can enjoy both via takeout. Curbside pickup and delivery options are available. Please note, those magnificent margs can be included with curbside pickup but not with delivery.

Wood Paddle Pizza and Tap

Serving the Aurora region, Wood Paddle Pizza  and Tap offers outstanding pizza and pasta dishes to its customers. They have even created a take and bake kit which allows you to make a Wood Paddle pizza at home. This is a perfect project for you and the kids. Also, write a review of their food and win the chance at $500. Despite the impact on their own business, Wood Pizza continues to be a tour de force in the Aurora community by participating in the Denver Feed it Forward effort. This community effort supports frontline healthcare workers with food delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Equally delicious roasted vegetables are available on the side. Try their famous Booyah kit, too! Perfect for lunch or dinner. Responsibly-sourced, nutritious and affordable! Yum! Looking for something out of the ordinary? Usaj Realty’s Kristina Casinelli recommends Ash’Kara, which blends the flavors of Israel and the Middle East. Shareable items from the restaurant’s wood-fired oven, including roasted vegetables, house-made pita, hummus and spreadable sides, large-format proteins, vegetables and sides cooked in traditional tagine clay pots. Your taste buds will be overwhelmed by the fragrant spices and flavors. Takeout and delivery available.

Aloy Modern Thai works closely with local farmers and ranchers as well as community-based food advocates to provide sustainable, humane, and healthy food to your home.
